Doug Sassaman

Doug, the youngest rider in our staff lives just a couple miles from the shop. He started riding bikes around the age all of the other kids got into it, but he knew he liked it more then all the rest of them. After riding a 16” bike he found ¾ broken in someone’s garage for a couple years, his parents bought him a Giant MTX 125, one of the first 30 bikes ever sold at Saucon Valley Bikes, and he has been riding ever since.
Doug is still in high school, and in between his busy life of school work and working around the shop, he rides just about every day. He usually rides around town looking for new spots to ride and new things to try. On weekends he usually goes to ride other places not around the area, some of those being Unami, Pennskate, and Bethlehem. During the slower winter months, you’ll find Doug tearing up the slopes at the local ski resorts.
